| October 14, 2005 | | Ellen, from Tuesday's with Edie will focus on finding less expensive ways to provide services and gadgets for caregiving. | Taking care of an aging loved one has new challenges everyday. I thank my lucky stars that I have the ability and knowledge to search, ask and afford to make Edie's life as comfortable as I can. Not everyone has that ability. So I've been doing some more research on how to locate devices and aids with a lower cost basis. I decided to check on ebay to see if I could find some of the things I've purchased for Edie. The first thing I looked for was the Hugo wheeled walker that I purchased from QVC. I was surprised they had quite a few of them. The lowest price was $50.00 plus shipping. Not bad considering I paid close to $200.00. One hundred fifty dollar savings is 1/4 the price. I like this. | | |
