Jeff,
Being your mentor and a medical advocate is not only a benefit to you and
your health but also a gift to me. As an educator, one of the greatest pleasures
is sharing my knowledge and expertise with my students and seeing
their life change in positive ways. You have done this in so many ways.
Your recent improvements have come about through the radical changes in your
diet, lifestyle, and disease regression. You presented with a cluster of
diseases that were further complicated by the prescription medications and
the negative interactions between them. Along with those factors your lifestyle
was conducive to deterioration rather than health.
But that is all a thing of the past.
One last, most important point - you are the one who made
the changes possible and the one to acknowledge and thank.
Although I provided you with many of the tools and information, you
are the one who committed themself to growth and change.
You are the one who was vigilant in watching the foods you
ate, you are the one who prepared your meals healthy and
in nutritious ways, you are the one who kept track of your
blood glucose, blood pressure, heart rate, nutrient and other values,
and recording them continually, you are the one who
incorporated exercise into your day's busy schedule, you are the
one who reported back to me any and all changes and responses,
you are the one who gave yourself a voice with your
doctors - some of whom can be intimidating and uninviting, you are the
one who allowed for opposing views and found the truth. YOU
ARE THE ONE making this all happen.
Here's to you Jeff - continued success and continued health. All the best
