Who is the real Jeff Miller?

Lassie wrap party early 90's I could be cute and say, "Jeff Miller was the boy with Lassie on the old TV show ". But the truth be told, that was young Tommy Rettig. Here's the twist. Tommy Rettig became a programming genius and best selling author later in life. We became neighbors and friends in the late 80's when I moved to Marina del Rey, CA. Together, in the early 90's, we opened a small but internationally known software company. The software was called "Tom Rettig's Office". It was a rapid application development tool for FoxPro databases. I was the CEO. Our first meeting was quite fun. I walked into my new apartment and saw my neighbor. I said, "Hi, I'm Jeff Miller your new neighbor", he stepped back with an incredulous look on his face. I said, "What? Do you know another Jeff Miller?". He replied, "Yes. I played you on Lassie for four years." Then I stepped back with "the" incredulous look. In the 50's, as a little boy, I watched Tommy playing my namesake on Lassie all the time. Here's how I really began...
