Nursing Homes and Assisted Living are a one way trip to be avoided at all costs.

Are you chronologically age 80 or biologically age 50?

Can exercise truly be called the "fountain of youth"?

It discusses chronological age and biological age in his Exercise and Nutrition blog which also contains many more interesting posts.

Another post I find quite interesting from the Aging Hipsters blog is "Old is as Old Does" where they quote the excellent post by Barbara M. Morris, R.Ph. "Put Old on Hold --- Start Now"

These are two good resources on how to stay younger.

I believe you should avoid nursing homes and assisted living at all costs. Try "Aging in Place".
