Some people prefer to have their personal contacts called before we call 911 for help.

Calling your personal contacts prior to calling 911 is an unsafe practice. We no longer accept any clients who won't let us call 911 first if we can't hear you.

Here's one scarey reason why it's unsafe.

Once we had a client who pushed his Senior Safety medical alarm button for help. We received his call for help and could not clearly understand him because there was lots of background noise.

We did what we promised to do and called his son first. In seconds we had his son on the phone and explained his dad pressed the button for help, and that we could not understand him.

We asked if we could dispatch 911. His son said no, he was minutes away and he would go over.

Thirty minutes later his son called to say that his dad's house was burned to the ground.

I can't live with that ever happening again. I'd rather be safe, lose a potential customer, than lose a life. Sorry to be so serious.

Think about how unsafe it is not to dispatch 911 first.
<!--
