Talks about Medical Alert company problems and discusses proper pricing for Medical Alert Systems.

ConsumerAffairs.com discusses complaints about a Medical Alert company.

They write about concern of the past Surgeon General C. Everett Koop's endorsement of a Medical Alert with problems according to several letters of complaint. The letter writers wonder if Dr. Koup knows about the company he endorses.

What do you think? I find endorsements can generally be bought.

My opinion:

First, collect information from at least 5 medical alarm companies. That means call them and request a brochure. If they require your phone number be concerned about sales practices.

Don't do business with any medical alert or medical alarm company that will not send you a brochure and tell you the full prices and terms of their Agreement.

Be especially careful of any medical alert company that uses strong sales practices. If you feel you are being taken advantage of, find one of the known good medical alarm companies like Senior Safety out there.

Read letters about the peace of mind a medical alarm from Senior Safety can provide.
<!--
